Dianne B. Cocoon Wrap Dress (1980s)
Eighties-era wrap dress from designer Dianne Benson’s line Dianne Fashions. Made of slick, sheened satin in rich earth tones. The dress has multiple layers of fabric: a tunic under layer with two free form fabric panels that wrap around the front and back, meeting at the left hip to tie. Contemporary, sculptural cocoon shape that can be tied multiple ways. The left shoulder has decorative button detailing, as do the sleeves.
