Mod Shift Dress from Bonwit Teller (1960s)
Tailored vintage shift dress in not-quite-hot-pink that lands just above the knee (depending on your height, of course) with flared sleeves and a boat neck collar. Crisp, reflective, heavy-weighted fabric with a slubby texture, dupioni silk or something almost identical, that gives the dress a strong structure and shape even when being worn. Partial lining around the neck in coordinating pink, clean-looking blind hems (sleeves, too), finished seams, and a couple inches of extra fabric for any future alterations. Decorative gemstone buttons are heavy gold metal, in mint condition.
