Thai Silk Suit Jacket (1980s)
Custom-tailored in Thailand of ribbon-striped pure Thai silk and fully lined in a coordinating blue. Eighties-era “power suit” fit: boxy cut, shoulder padding, and two waist buttons. There are beautiful tailoring details like exposed stitching on the lapels and cuffs, welted front pockets, and fabric covered buttons. Most uniquely, the shoulders are pleated and the sleeves have blooming blue inlays from shoulder to cuff.
