Ivory Floral Pencil Skirt (1980s)
Textured ivory brocade skirt with a dreamy spring floral pattern in muted greens and blues, pastel pinks and purples, and woven with metallic gold. A visually dynamic material with a gentle affect: the flowers look like watercolors and the abstract gold weave over the top creates the appearance of many layers. Quite romantic, actually.
The skirt is fully lined in coordinating ivory sateen and zips up the center back with an ivory zipper and hook and bar closure. Form fitting in the waist and hips, darts at the hip in the front and back, yet still room to move in the legs. There’s a short split in the center back and some stretch in the waist. Yes, it’s a pencil skirt, but it doesn’t glue your knees together.
