MOON BOOTS by Tecnica (1990s)
Vintage leather Moon Boots from Italian après-ski wear brand Tecnica. Tecnica began designing colorful sportswear in the late-60s and introduced the original Moon Boot in the 70s. Since then, they’ve produced endless varieties that major fashion houses continue to replicate (rip-off). Moon Boots have always come in loose sizes and with no functional difference between the left and right feet.
This pair is made of two tones of chartreuse suede and lined in faux shearling. Adjustable draw strings are green and white; one adjusts the body and shaft of the boot, the other adjusts only the very top (behind the shearing rim). Comfortable, soft, and warm, but stylishly designed in a way UGG boots never achieved.
